小テスト No. 66の質疑応答。whose roof と the roof of which に関する関係詞に関するもの。

仮定法構文での、いわば、第二段階となっている。I wish ~、as if ~、if it were not for ~、if it had not been for ~、but for ~、without ~ に突入。

シッカリの脳みそに定着さておいて欲しいのは I wished I were rich.  He looked as if he knew the secret. での 直説法と仮定法の同時使用の場合の和訳。ここをキッチリと定着させることに最大の注意ってこと。

また but for ~、without ~ から if it were not for ~、if it had not been for ~ への書き換え、さらに、with a little more care, … の思考となった。

ここは毎年ながら一気の一気に攻める。ここでさらに時制の考え方を固めていく。

次は otherwise と A true friend would not do such a thing. 型の勉強へと深化していく。

仮定法は面白くなっていく、この感触を持ってほしい。頑張って、ダ。
