新高校 3年 (6時クラス) 

単語テスト : 鉄壁 1161~1200 + α単語。α単語は長文読解・総合問題より。

小テスト : 暗記英作 10問、英作 2問、短文精訳問題 2問。

長文読解 : 設問での「this thing を指すもの」での答えが動詞から始まることはない、ことの確認。英文では My father’s reply could not have been more eloquent. での和訳。これは会話英語でしばしばみられる、I couldn’t agree more. とかと同様に考えてみる、とか。

総合問題 : OKな進行。

新高校 2年 (8時クラス) 

単語テスト : LEAP 1901~1935。精訳問題からの単語を含む。

小テスト: 強調構文 not ~ until … 、動名詞構文 Is there any hope of ~ing? 型と prevent ~ fromo ~ing 型、問題、短文解釈、2問題。

授業 : 小テストの解説。精訳問題では but の前置詞 (≒ except ) 、例文としては I had no choice but to accept his decision. とか 和訳部分では … so that if all activity were suddenly to cease time would not still continue without any interpretation、での従属節の文法処理、また even の省略 etc.を考えての進行。 

ガッツリと精訳訓練が続いていく。動詞と主語の関係、文を分析する力、適切な訳語の選択、これらが大切なところ。頑張っていかねば、ですよ。
