高校 3年 (6時クラス) 

小テスト : 例の過去問 10問。過去問(東北大)英作 1問、演習 1問。焦る。演習問題での読みの薄さが気になる。前後関係、特に全文読みの軽さ。もっと深く読め！ってこと。英語は読めてナンボのハナシなんですよ。

精訳問題 2問。徳大過去問での And so it is with a good book. なんかは超難と言える。いわゆる易しく見えて難ってやつ。他の東大過去問では、さすがに subject でのミスがないが、so ~ as to とかに関しては一皮深く読む必要がある。

高校 2年 (8時クラス) 

小テスト : 例の過去問 10問、短文解釈 2問。海洋大の問題では there が名詞扱いとなっている、と考えての解の作成手法。短文解釈では2問に共通して be to 不定詞の「意図」が使用されている問題、また、they must have around them as great a variety of books as possible from which to choose での文構造の理解、etc. だる。

精訳問題 4問 : apparent の限定用法と叙述用法に関するもの、で、Choice is often more apparent than real. に関しては？ Material standards of living were never higher. Public services were never so complete and comprehensive. Educational opportunities (and therefore the opportunity to choose one’s career) were never so varied and generous. での比較・同等比較での内容、また generous の訳語、etc. ガンガンと文の読み込み力量が問われる問題となっている。読め、読め、読み込め、なんですよ。頑張るよ。
